確固たる使命感と倫理観をもつ医療人を育成し、豊かな創造力と研究能力を養い、人類の健康と福祉の向上につとめ、地域および国際社会に貢献する。

Mission and Core Principles of Mie University Faculty of Medicine

Mie University,School of Medicine aims to raise medical personnel with a steadfast sense of mission and ethical view, and to cultivate in it students and faculties both rich creativity and research capacity. The school will strive for development of human health and welfare and contribute to regional and international society.

この基本理念のもと、医学科では臨床医学，医学・生物学研究，あるいは公衆衛生の分野で活躍する人材を養成していきます。すなわち，コミュニケーション能力に優れ，幅広い知識と質の高い技術を持って患者中心の医療を実践できる能力，自ら問題を発見し科学的根拠に基づいた思考によって問題を解決できる能力，あるいは地域及び国際社会における健康の増進，疾病の予防に寄与し，人類の保健，繁栄に貢献できる能力を養います。
